Oh My God! I Totally Love This Song!

THERE IS A LIGHT THAT NEVER GOES OUT BY THE SMITHS

When I was 16 and this song came on in my best friend’s car on a hot summer night it left an indelible impression on me that lasts to this day. The Smiths songs echo through most of my teenage memories and they’re still amazing.  The lyric catches that thing in your teen years where you kinda knew it would never get better than the moment you were having and that if you died, you’d die happy.  It captures the brilliance of being in the moment in such a great way.
People said, “Oh, hell no, that shit’s depressing, yo.”
I always figured Morrisey was half-joking and I still think he was.  Plus, come on, this is  one of my favorite Smiths songs and it stands the test of time.
To die by your side is such a heavenly way to die:

This is worth it for the fashion and the dancing. Oh, the dancing.
