MAKING TRACKS THE RISE OF BLONDIE BY DEBBIE HARRY AND NEW YORK ROCKER MY LIFE IN THE BLANK GENERATION WITH BLONDIE, IGGY POP AND OTHERS, 1974 - 1981
The first of these two books was written during Blondie’s heyday and the pictures in it are worth the read, alone. Debbie talks about early 70’s New York City which is one of my favourite places to read about. If you are a fan and can find this book, get a copy and check it out.
The second book was a quick, entertaining read but if you feel like you’ve read enough rock bios in your life then this one isn’t any better or worse than anyone else’s. But, if you are a big fan of the era and the band, you will enjoy this.
