I guess everyone has a musical style they listen to more than others and if I had to tell you mine it would be songs that have loud guitars with some singing and some screaming and a whole lot of melodrama. Around the turn of the century when I discovered a lot of these kinds of bands it seemed like a whole new thing and I was excited.


I guess these days, my mix is moving away from the scream thing and more towards these newer bands that sound 60’s-ish and beach-y but sort of like you’re listening to them through a paper towel tube.


Anyway, for old times sake, a little Emery is always pleasing when they come on the mix. These guys are probably Christian and mix choir boy vocals with some screaming and good ol’ rock n’ roll. By now, this isn’t the most original thing going but I still enjoy them.
