LESLEY ANNE SLISKO, JEWELRY DESIGNER

After the last man-centric Style Matters post, I thought I’d do one for the ladies. And one thing I know about ladies (TV and Movies has taught me much) is that they love their bling.
Lesley Anne Slisko was a photographer but was looking for new creative outlets. As a hobby and to have her own original looks, she started making her own jewelry. She describes her own personal style as Boho Chic and has always loved style. “I got burned out,” she said about photography, “got a regular job and the girls at work saw me wearing pieces, and it took off from there.”
She hand makes Jewelry that is cool and up-to-date. When I asked her about her inspiration, she said, “I am inspired by old Hollywood glamor, burlesque, and pin-up. I also love healing gemstones, the exotic feel of other cultures and I combine all of these elements to create a Bo-ho look that is unique, elegant, and timeless.”
Her website is divided into the categories: Metal, Stone, Shell and Feather. One of the things that she loves about creating her own line, is that Lesley feels like people have the ability to touch and wear her art as opposed to just looking at it. I see all kinds of women loving this stuff and it’s affordable and totally cool. The looks are versatile and can be dressed way down for casual looks, or up a little for work looks or way up for night time glam looks.
From the Metal Collection, this is Bird’s Nest. I’m seeing this spicing up a simple dress at night or with a t shirt, jeans and a gorgeous open leather jacket for a more casual look.

This is Jean from the Shell Collection. I love the unfussy chains with the cool brooch detail. I see a lot of women wanting this. Its a statement piece and who doesn’t love making a statement?
