Even if it Kills Me by Motion City Soundtrack
Sometimes my playlist plays something I haven't heard in awhile that I used to listen to a lot but haven't lately. I had forgotten how awesome these guys are. This song rocks and the New Wave-y chorus is TDF Pop!
Lyrically, it speaks to redemption and getting better and who doesn’t love a theme song for that? Especially one that is slightly cynical yet hopeful.
I guess this is what grown-up pop music sounds like and the message works for where I am in my life, too.
I’ll do whatever it takes to get back on track, even if it kills me.
