On My Night Table

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS BY JOHN GREEN

Cancer kids falling in love sounds like an awful read, but if you haven’t read this tale as old as time then you are missing out. I’m not a fan of the romance genre, but this one has enough piss and vinegar to make it tolerable. Also, I’m a sucker for a good teen read.

The story centers on Hazel and Augustus who meet at a Cancer survivor’s support group. They are at different stages of their recovery and are immedietly drawn together. Their thoughtful conversations are interesting and fun to read and John Green doesn’t pander to his audience. I will even admit that my black little heart swelled with the feels at parts and my eyes moistened at others.
