This was a guilty pleasure back when I was a kid who believed in such things. A friend and I used to blast her brother’s Skid Row CD and “play” hair metal band. And by used to I mean we did it once or twice. I’m pretty sure we both liked the music we thought we were too cool to admit to liking. Try not to pretend you’re in one of the many Dude Looks Like a Lady bands that proliferated the late 80’s while you listen to this gem.

Yesterday was a beautiful summer day and this is a beautiful summer song. The vocal is so amazingly histrionic that it makes you laugh at Sebastien Bach’s nostalgic pain while simultaneously poking you in your cry place. The lyric is a simple one that, by the end of the song, is just being screamed at you. But for the curious, give the live one a listen and you will hear the guy can sing.
