COOL BY GWEN STEFANI
I
recently gave the No Doubt singer’s two solo albums a re-listen and they were
pretty good. One song that really stood out back then and now is Cool. The
vocal arrangement is killer as is the chorus and, as always, Gwen mines the
breakdown of her relationship one hundred years earlier with that No Doubt dude
for a great song.
Over
the weekend I threw a small party and had some really cool people turn up and a
great time was had by all (I think). This song is kinda about people getting
through stuff and remaining friends and almost everyone who showed up at my
place is a friend for 15 years, or more. I feel blessed to have so much in my
life. OK, I’m done with the mush.
