Oh My God! I Totally Love This Song!

BEAUTIFUL BY THE GO-GO’S 

This song is awesome. It makes me feel like I should be in a convertible and flying down some highway somewhere. It played over the credits of “Superstar,” the Mary Catherine Gallagher movie, which I think I have to watch again, now. 

I read an interview when this came out and one of the band talked about Francine Fishpaw from John Waters' "Polyester," in relation to this song and I think it has a Watersian quality to it. The music box at the beginning sounds a little busted down and the lyrics are just this side of insane. I LOVE IT!!!!
