GO YOUR OWN WAY BY FLEETWOOD
MAC
This is what Summer sounded
like when I was a little kid. When we hopped into my Mom’s orange Honda station
wagon with the cassette player and drove up to Penticton I remember this
playing as we flew down the highway. That golden-hued 70’s thing that people my
age remember has this as a soundtrack.
As I became older, I gave
Rumors a re-listen and alongside the nostalgia I realized what a great album it
is. From beginning to end this is the best break-up song cycle ever. The
behind-the-scenes stories about its recording and touring are amazing and could
have only happened when they did.
If I could, baby I’d give you my world. How can I when you won’t take it from me?
Open up, everything’s waiting for you:
