Style Matters

2013 GOLDEN GLOBES

There were some great looking ladies at last night's Golden Globe Awards. There were also some jacked up homemade looking crap running around, too. Here is my take on who totally nailed it.

Modern Family's Ariel looked pretty and totally age-appropriate in Valentino

Amy Poehler, while being hilarious, rocked the arrivals in this Stella McCartney tux. This looked gorgeous and effortless and Poehler's sideswept hair complemented this sexy little number. One of the best looks from last night.

The colour of Jessica Alba's Oscar De La Renta made her look beautiful and the hair, makeup and necklace were perfectly put together to look done but not overwraught. She was my best dressed last night.

I would imagine it is hard to look cool in any kind of gown, but Olivia Munn manages to pull it off in this Armani. Her necklace and clutch were a great compliment as was the slicked back hair.

Jodie Foster lives on a different planet than the rest of us, but managed to move and inspire with her non-coming-out coming out and she did it in Giorgio Armani looking every inch the stah.

Nicole Richie grew up and nailed it in Naeem Khan and a purse from her own clothing line.

Julianne Moore was stunning and age-appropriate in Tom Ford. When I first saw the white part on the leg I thought she was rocking a too-high slit and then realized it was part of the dress. I mean she's white but not that white. Also, she looks as great as she did when we all first met her.

As a child of the 70's, I can totally get behind Julie Bowen wearing this teal Halston. The bangles and purse rock, but the shoes are a little bit Grandma's wedding outfit.
