Oh My God! I Totally Love This Song!

My favorite Canadian Lesbian Twins (for a few months they were tied for the top spot with, um, nobody - who doesn't love iconoclasts?) are back with a new sound that, on first listen, didn’t do a lot for me. Then they released the adorable video and the song started growing on me, and by the time it showed up on Degrassi, it all made sense. Tegan and Sara are growing up and expanding their sound while exploring songs about getting it on and I’m curious as to how the rest of the album sounds. I'm also dying to see their audience go nuts when they do this live.

I have high hope that this one will expand their audience because they’re just too awesome to not be more successful. These two are a great live act and to go from guitar driven songs to more pop driven songs is a risk, but I think they’re up for the challenge. One wonders how the sonic textures will inform their already stellar live presence.
