Oh My God! I Totally Love This Song!

JUST WHAT I NEEDED BY THE CARS 

This little blast of new wave changed my life when I was 9. My mom had rented a room to a woman she worked with and Annette brought this and the Knack’s records home. To my little ears, this sounded like the future and I wished it would hurry up and get here. 

Other bands like the early 90’s The Rentals and the 00’s The Killers have reinvented the sounds on this album. I remember going to an amusement park that summer and this played everywhere. I love the slightly robotic vocal and the synths. This was way ahead of its time. The amazing thing about it is that it still sounds current.
