Oh My God! I Totally Love This Song!

11:59 BY BLONDIE

When I was a pre-teen, I listened to this album on a daily basis for probably about a year. I was obsessed and 437 years later, I still love it. When she sings about losing control, I almost lose control. If you don’t have a copy of Parallel Lines I would strongly suggest you get one. Other than Heart of Glass, it all sounds kinda like this song. I thought I was pretty New Wave listening to this and couldn’t wait to get my own skinny tie ensemble.

I would love to start a Blondie cover-band with myself as the lead singer called "Brownie." All I need is the backing band and the outfits. Oh, and the ability to sing. That being said, I would perform the shit out of their material. I would be a brown in-drag Debbie Harry and the crowd would go wild.

But, seriously, is there a band from your childhood that shaped who you are, who you were going to be and is still a go-to when you want to listen to a great album from start to finish? Do you remember staring at the cover and getting lost in it while listening to it? Let me know in the comments if you have one (don’t be shy, there are no wrong answers here).
