Oh My God! I Totally Love This Song!

Sometimes the “worst” songs are actually the best. This song has an amazing vocal (the last time the chorus is sung is gorgeous and that final “forever” just gets nailed to the wall) and the glossy pop-rock production works in its favor. I’ve said it before but making a song about “tonight” is brilliant and gives it an immediacy that grabs you by whatever it is you get grabbed by and doesn’t let go.


These teenage twin Avrils by way of Australia should have had a bigger hit with this song but it didn’t quite happen. I played the crap out of this when I first heard it and I just love the teenage kicks it brings. The live video below shows them seeming a bit over it all (I guess they’re famous enough in Australia for sunglasses in the studio) and their drummer just may be Michael Jackson.
