Oh My God! I Totally Love This Song!

As you may have noticed I love my sugary pop with a bit of bite and when I discovered Descendents, even though I was a little late to the party, I fell in love. These guys make fast, catchy loud songs in a way that, by now, we’ve all heard a million times. When I first heard these guys, loud music was either all “Hail Satan” or dirge-y and Seattle-y. This was like a breath of fresh air for me and this song was one of my first childhood favorite songs. I remember when I heard the Beach Boys sing about a guy crying, I wished I could do something for him and make him feel better. The drama of this song caught 7 year old me and kept me enthralled in the back seat of Mom’s orange Honda station wagon where Endless Summer was endlessly repeated.


As spring slowly but surely starts to assert itself in my part of the world, songs like this one get me all hyped up when they randomly play and get me excited about the upcoming Summer.
