When I was a teen, I fell in love for the first time and I met the dude while dancing to this song. The lyric is perfect for that moment and since it wasn’t a super popular song, it doesn’t get a lot of play these days. Whenever I hear it, I am transported back to that heady time. These guys were a one-hit (barely) wonder but what a hit it was.


Everything about that first love is kinda etched into my memory as little moments of perfection stacked up against each other and I can’t believe I once lived a life like that. Twenty-some years later, I feel like I’m lucky to have had that in my life even for a little while. I guess what I’m saying is if you have some love in your life, and you can surprise that person in any way, maybe you should do it and bring a little spark out. If you have a song that is “your” song, why not play it for your signif (oh yes I did) when they least expect it and see what happens.
