THE CON BY TEGAN AND SARA
If I had to choose my favorite lesbian twin rock stars from Canada I would totally pick Tegan and Sara. My friend Paul and I went as Dead Tegan and Dead Sara (it was scarier if they were dead) one Halloween a few years ago and it was one of those costumes where had we done it a couple years later everyone would’ve known who we were. Instead we were the weird guys with weird mullet wigs, rock t shirts with water balloons in ‘em and Chucks. People were all, “What’s with those weirdos?”
Anyway, if you get a chance to see Tegan and Sara live, you really should go. Not only are they great musicians with an amazing body of work, but they are hilarious. Like, laugh out loud funny. So you get a rock show and a night at the comedy club (without having to go to such an awful place) all in one show. Seriously, these two are funnier than Jann Arden (they get bonus points for being out of the closet too unlike Jann).
