Oh My God! I Totally Love This Song!

Some of you may be thinking, “How does he choose which song will go on OMGITLTS?” The answer is a) sometimes I hear or see the song in my day-to-day life; b) sometimes I hit shuffle on iTunes and wait until a song makes me go, “OMGITLTS!” and; c) sometimes I wake up with a song in my head. Today’s was a C.


This song is way over the top. I shouldn’t really like it because of the fromage but I can’t help it. You may have noticed through my song choices that I have a melodramatic streak about a mile long. The verses soar and then the chorus kicks in and it does something more than soaring. This is a little bit U2, and a touch of Interpol (who are a tad Joy Division) and it works.


This is the kind of song that TV dramas play over the last scene of the show when they show all the characters having a quiet moment. Picture your favorite show and what everyone is doing it while this plays. See? Even better? Pick five or six of your favorite family and friends. Play this song and make up your own End-of-the-Episode-Musical-Montage by imagining what everyone is doing while it plays. Fun or what?
