Oh My God! I Totally Love This Song!

This song has an amazing video. Seriously, if you’ve never seen it, take five minutes and watch. Giant hands! The band’s drummer, Taylor, in drag! Dream Sequences! Pat Smear in Elvis burns!  The song itself is a great one. It rocks out and the louder you turn it the better it sounds. The drumming is pounding, Dave Grohl’s voice sounds great and the guitars push it all forward with a great momentum.


Lyrically, the song speaks to that teenage moment when innocence turns to not-so-innocent. Thematically it has a through-line to the first part of Paradise By The Dashboard Lights but without the dystopian ending (or the baseball announcing middle). This song is the best make-out song, most romantic song and all around most kick-ass song the Foo Fighters have done. I know I say it every day, but Oh My God! I Totally Love This Song!
