I know I’m jumping the gun a little since it’s not even Spring, but this song feels like Summer to me. There is a yearning to it that is sweet and simple. The jangly guitars and the vocal remind me of Elvis Costello a little bit. The video is filled with good looking people lip synching the song. Sorta a low-fi George Michael thing (there is a NSFW version of the video with lots of boobs in it for all you boobs fans. Also, the dudes in their underwear aren’t in their underwear in this version and you should see what one of them uses for a microphone).


The band’s lead singer was raised in a cult (so says the band, anyway) and never got to hear music but picked up some stuff from movies. The innocent lyrics and simple melodies make sense when taken in that context. The album this comes off of is pretty damn good too. So, if you’re yearning for Summer or a boyfriend or even a pizza and a bottle of wine, this ones for you.
