CARNIVAL BY BIKINI KILL
From the thrashy music to Kathleen Hanna’s vocal, this song just rocks. Who doesn’t love the carnival (I’ll admit to being Carny Trash if you do). Riot Grrl was about as funny as Cancer but somehow this song manages to be funny and good. When she sings, “See the girls with the feathered hair, wearing plastic, not real leather boots that go up to there” you know exactly the girls she’s talking about.
I wanna go.
This is a song about the seedy underbelly of the carnival, the part that only the kids know about. This is a song about 16 year old girls giving carnies head for free rides and hits of pot:

I had to laugh at your guns and roses description the other day. About how the song was the first you didn't have to be embarrassed by. Didn't agree with that. There's a ton more out there. But you don't blog to be agreed with all the time do you? That's why you blog.
