Paul Poole is a Vancouver-based photographer. His work has been shown in various galleries, restaurants and living room walls (like mine) over the years. Lately he seems to be focussing on his blog, Phototally.
His photographs range from beautiful shots of his many travels both in Canada and across Mexico, Asia and Europe to every day things we take for granted in our busy lives.
Sometimes, when he gets close to something, the whimsy in the object is more apparent than it would be just by looking at it. His ability to bring the humour in things into his photos makes them more than just still images.
When he is showing us larger things, his use of light, angles and perspective keep everything from being too pedestrian and we see the world in a new and different way.
